Thought I’d draw my new Jeep tonight. Vector illustration is my favorite style. Here’s the final illustration and keyline view of just the Jeep. This time of year is so chaotic and this image looks so peaceful. What do you think?

My beautiful wife and I invested in many hours of private ballroom dancing lessons. We even choreographed our dance to a particular song, Crazy Love by Michael Bublé. This video is the result, it was totally worth it. If you’re in Springfield, MO and are looking for Ballroom (or any kind of dance) lessons check out Sonshine’s Royal Ballroom. Don McCarty is a wonderful teacher and a terrific dancer. My favorite part of our routine was the lift and the open box sequence right after the lift.

My office recently purchased a Canon 7D and this is my first opportunity to shoot some footage. I used a 35mm prime lens from my older Canon DSLR XTi. My father-in-law was kind enough to service and mow my yard while I sat around and filmed him while he did it. I’m pretty happy with the results especially since I didn’t have any kind of story in mind. Just capturing random shots in hopes to create an interesting short. Let me know what you think.

I love to ride my mountain bike. I own a Specialized Rockhopper 29er, it climbs like crazy and can crawl over almost anything. When I ride I use music to help keep a consistent cadence. I’ve found that 75 rotations per minute is a nice pace for me and provides the workout I’m looking for. That’s always been a guess on my part, unless I’m in the gym on a bike that provides the specs.

However, I recently stumbled across a website that allows me to create playlists that recommend music for my chosen pace. It’s called Cycle by Jog.fm. If you’re a runner (or walker) they also offer a version of their site that selects music based on song’s beats per minute (BPM) to achieve the pace you specify for your workout.

I’m excited to try it out. I signed up for an account, which was really easy thanks to facebook and twitter authentication, and created my playlist. My workout is set up for a cycling cadence of 75 rotations per minute, the site recommended music at 150 BPM. As long as the weather holds up, I’ll be riding this weekend.
